Little H and Lydia’s Place

It looks like the weather is going to be good this weekend. I’m leaving the city on Thursday with the pooch for my next to last weekend at the house before we have to close it up for the winter. The biker (my husband) is joining me soon after. He can really use the break!

So much to do in a mere 3 1/2 days but I really want to go over to Hamish & Henry the bookstore in Livingston Manor on Saturday afternoon (3 PM, Nov. 3) for their next book event. It will be a nice break from all the heavy lifting.

Tree Across the Road

I do love this place: the quiet, the trees, the fresh air. This time is my favorite time of year up here. It’s quieter than July and August and it’s dry and sunny and surprisingly warm.

Two weeks ago I was still swimming in the lake. And in front of our house is a huge place where Otto the Goof can run around like a maniac, chasing groundhogs and errant cats.
